Some Broad Tries to Kidnap ‘Second Life’ Boyfriend

A 33-year-old woman from North Carolina tried to kidnap her ex-boyfriend from the game Second Life. Kimberly Jernigan started a relationship with a 52-year-old Delaware man via Second Life.

The two met in person at least once before the relationship soured, and hence forward, Jernigan made two different attempts to kidnap the man, one at gun point. The end result was this woman breaking into the man’s house, with all sorts of devious plans, and some how needing to tie up her own dog to achieve them.

Look, we’re not even going to try and dish the journalistic pleasantries on this one. Even blogs covering this one are apparently all interested in the who, when, and how, dishing details on the account like I give a damn. This lady is fucking batshit crazy.

And while we’re not going to start taking shots at Second Life as a whole (when I say that I mean that we are), we have to be concerned with the combination of people’s tendency to get so wrapped up in Second Life and its increasingly adult nature. People having “affairs” and “relationships” and even prostitution is not uncommon in Second Life, and while it’s all one big giant epic fail joke online, when that spills into the real world where Joe Somebody and poor Fido can get hurt, we take issue.

We leave you Second Life players with this message…
