Nintendo Wii Scores Huge KO
We at IGL have learned that Punch-Out!! is being remade and will be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. So, after months and months of Nintendo being annoyed by their players, they’ve finally decided to make a “new” Punch-Out!! game. Many put pressure on Nintendo to remake the game. They felt the original that was added to the Virtual Console back in 2007 was not good enough. Punch-Out!! for those of you who are in dire need of a history lesson, was one of the great games to appear NES. However, it bared “Iron” Mike Tyson’s name on it. We won’t be seeing much of Mike this time around.
One must wonder if this could boost sales for those hardcore gamers out there who wish to relive the golden days. The “old-school” gamers know just how hard their bouts against Mr. Sandman and Super Macho Man were. This time around things will be even more difficult. Rather than smashing your palm into your controller, you will be using the Wii-mote to do all your swinging. It’s bound to be quite the work out. It’s good to see Little Mac stepping back into the ring to take on the likes of King Hippo, Glass Joe and the dreaded Mr. Dream. Someone call in Doc Louis, the Wii is ready for round 2!
